About the role
This role involves supporting the Commercial Agreements team in managing commercial transactions, contract drafting, and negotiations for internal clients and external customers.
What you'll do
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with GF sales transactions and nondisclosure agreements.
- Analyze customer contract drafts, draft agreements, and gather information for contract documentation.
- Participate in internal business reviews and support contract negotiations with GF customers.
- Support projects related to commercial agreement templates, contract playbooks, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
What you'll need
- Actively pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, having completed the second year of law school before the internship start date.
- Overall 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Knowledge of U.S. contract law.
- Excellent legal research, legal writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- English fluency (Written & Verbal).
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Nice to have
- Prior related internship, legal clerkship, or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience.
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies.
- Project management skills.
- Business, science, engineering, or technology background.
- Finance or accounting knowledge.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German.
