About the role
This role is responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area at Fab 8, a 300mm manufacturing facility.
What you'll do
- Monitor equipment performance and manage preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills.
- Recover equipment from process interruptions and document events.
- Communicate updates on equipment status and area to the Lead Tech and/or Engineer.
- Perform work in a safe and responsible manner in line with EHS&S policies.
- Support and engage in training activities.
What you'll need
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent military training/experience.
- At least 4 years direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or in semiconductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenance, or 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.
- Basic reading and writing comprehension skills.
- Basic computer navigation skills (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing required clean room clothing per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
Nice to have
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality.
- Develop and enhance operating procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams.
- Experience with troubleshooting and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Basic understanding of the principles of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
