About the role
As a Texas Instruments Equipment Engineer, you will support manufacturing operations by evaluating, maintaining, and improving equipment. The role supports continuous production flow and cycle time minimization in a high volume 300mm wafer Fab running Analog Technologies.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order equipment for the manufacture of company products. - Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. - Perform lot and equipment dispositions to support continuous production flow and minimize cycle time in a 300mm wafer Fab. - Study equipment performance and reliability through data analysis, establishing programs and solutions to increase uptime. - Define and write preventative maintenance schedules, keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. - Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or related engineering degree. - 5 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer or Fab engineer.
Nice to have
- Specific equipment experience with AMAT CMP tools, with a foundation in engineering change control. - Equipment experience with other tools (AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, or ASM). - Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation. - Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
