Manage cluster infrastructure operations and reliability for Cerebras Systems.

About the role

This role involves leading compute infrastructure operations and operational reliability across multiple data center sites.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day operational health of compute clusters, server racks, and network infrastructure.
  • Lead hardware incident triage, fault isolation, break/fix, and diagnostic validation.
  • Use monitoring, telemetry, logs, and alerting for system degradation and recovery.
  • Lead physical-layer troubleshooting of fiber and copper links, patching, optics, and transceivers.
  • Own physical asset accountability from inbound receiving through deployment, repair, and disposition.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate technicians, engineers, and contractor resources across multiple facilities.
  • Oversee operational readiness for new compute capacity, including rack integration and system health verification.
  • Coordinate with colocation providers and facilities specialists on maintenance risk, alarms, and incident restoration.

What you'll need

  • 10+ years of experience in data center, compute infrastructure, or server operations, including 5+ years leading technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations with 24/7 production support.
  • Strong hands-on foundation in server hardware, rack infrastructure, hardware diagnostics, and break/fix.
  • Working understanding of data center network topology and physical connectivity, including Ethernet, fiber optics, and transceivers.
  • Experience with asset management, data-bearing media security, and chain of custody.
  • Experience leading incidents, change control, technical escalations, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to interpret facility power and cooling dependencies.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting large compute clusters or high-density server environments.
  • Exposure to direct liquid cooling, CDU operations, and thermal telemetry.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based troubleshooting, BMC/IPMI, server logs, and hardware telemetry.
  • Experience using fiber inspection and testing tools and network test equipment.
  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty, Jira, DCIM/BMS or equivalent monitoring and workflow tools.
  • Knowledge of customer security requirements, colocation operating models, and SLAs.
