About the role

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services for use within Polar Semiconductor. The position requires comparative research, supplier pricing negotiations, inventory evaluation, and adherence to budgets.

What you'll do

• Source items at competitive prices and locate dependable manufacturers while adhering to company purchasing policies.
• Manage purchase orders through the full purchase cycle to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external customers, communicating purchase order status updates and changes.
• Maintain purchase orders in the department tracking system and pursue delinquent orders.
• Support company initiatives including quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated abilities in negotiating and purchasing procedures.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform under pressure.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and technical applications to semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP software systems.
