About the role
As a Buyer in the Global Operations Group, you analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments for inventory acquisition. You support processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and quotes (RFQs) while engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within ERP systems.
What you'll do
- Review, analyze, and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment, and services.
- Manage purchase orders, order changes, and PO releases based on demand requirements.
- Understand, maintain, and report weekly procurement KPIs.
- Maintain records of suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates, and inventories.
- Build key supplier relationships to review open action items, supplier performance, demand forecasts, and cost reductions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or related procurement tools.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Nice to have
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries.
- Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data.
- Negotiation skills to achieve best value pricing.
