About the role

The Business Partnerships Manager leads strategic commercial negotiations end-to-end and shapes a collaborative negotiation model to maximize long-term commercial value across GlobalFoundries' key business opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Lead commercial negotiations end-to-end for a portfolio of strategic deals across live meetings and document-exchange formats, from strategy through execution and close.
  • Align commercial interests, constraints, and red lines across Sales, Product Lines, Legal, Finance, and Manufacturing to establish unified negotiating positions.
  • Model deal economics, trade-offs, contingencies, probability-weighted outcomes, implementation risks, and long-term enforceability before commitments are finalized.
  • Evaluate deal durability across market cycles, capacity changes, counterparty power fluctuations, and renegotiation scenarios.
  • Design and scale negotiation playbooks, preparation frameworks, debrief protocols, and negotiation intelligence tools, including AI-assisted preparation.
  • Ensure deal terms translate cleanly into execution while maintaining integration across the quote-to-cash process.

What you'll need

  • 5 years of experience in B2B commercial roles, with exposure to high-complexity negotiations, enterprise deal structuring, or strategic account management.
  • Demonstrated application of negotiation theory, including interest-based approaches and managing power dynamics in high-stakes commercial environments.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning to model deal economics, evaluate trade-offs, and stress-test contract structures.
  • Proven stakeholder management across technical, legal, finance, and executive functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or high-technology industries, with an understanding of foundry economics, capacity dynamics, and product line interdependencies.
  • Familiarity with Deal Desk processes, order-to-cash flows, and enterprise contract structures in a B2B technology environment.
  • Exposure to value-based pricing, risk-sharing contract models, or strategic agreements.
  • Working knowledge of additional languages.
