About the role
The Business Intelligence Analyst partners with process engineers and integration teams to translate wafer experiment workflows and yield-learning objectives into actionable data requirements, metrics, and analytical dashboards. The role focuses on tracking process tool performance, recipe execution, chamber health, and wafer-level traceability across etch, deposition, and metrology environments.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain metrics, dashboards, and analytical reports using ClickHouse, SQL, and Python to monitor process tool performance, recipe execution, chamber health, and wafer-level traceability.
- Partner with process engineers and integration teams to understand wafer experiment workflows and translate experimental and yield-learning objectives into data and reporting specifications.
- Write technical specifications for data pipelines onboarding metrology tools, sensors, or process data, collaborating with data engineering on schema design within the AWS/Kafka/ClickHouse stack.
- Validate and reconcile data across MES, tool logs, recipe management, metrology platforms, and yield databases to ensure accurate linkage at the wafer, lot, run, and step levels.
- Develop reusable Python scripts and SQL queries for ad-hoc and recurring analyses, including DOE evaluation, process window characterization, virtual metrology exploration, and lot-to-lot comparisons.
- Create automated workflows for data ingestion, cleansing, and integration of large-scale process and metrology datasets leveraging Python, ETL orchestration tools, and AWS cloud services.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, automation, and pipeline support.
- Experience designing and validating metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for operational or engineering environments using BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Superset, Grafana, or Looker.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD for analytics, and data documentation tooling.
- Demonstrated experience translating engineering workflows and business needs into data requirements and working directly with technical stakeholders.

How we counted: 2409 open Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 78 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 6 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
