This role involves developing analytical systems for biological and biochemical applications, specifically driving the design and adaptation of a novel fluorescence imaging platform.
What you'll do
- Work with clients and partners to develop performance criteria.
- Design and build customized optical characterization test systems for new platform characterization.
- Characterize new platform performance and lead performance improvement and redesign efforts.
- Carry out extensive data collection and analysis in support of platform characterization and improvements.
- Work with peers to prioritize and coordinate activities.
- Contribute to design improvements and IP generation.
What you'll need
- PhD or MS in Applied Physics or Optical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating optical characterization systems.
- Expertise in automated experiment design and construction.
- Experience in automated data collection and analysis.
- Python programming skills.
- Optical physics modelling experience.
