About the role
This role involves designing and developing custom automated test solutions for critical Defense and Aerospace technology.
What you'll do
- Develop strategy to transform complex customer requirements into complete automated test solutions, including custom fixturing, cabling, and software.
- Present planned strategies to internal and external stakeholders during System Requirement Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to guide design efforts and ensure designs support the planned strategy.
- Develop custom software in C# to operate automated test equipment and fixturing.
- Integrate new software and hardware, debug and solve system issues.
- Develop Operator Interfaces using test executive environments like TestStand.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience with Automated Test Equipment, Test Development Engineering, or a Master’s degree.
- Strong programming skills with C# or other object-oriented languages.
- Experience with Visual Studio or other IDE and associated debug tools.
- Familiarity with Git or other source control tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical hardware using a multimeter and oscilloscope.
Nice to have
- Experience with test executive environments like TestStand and TestStudio.
- Experience with Spectrum 9100, Spectrum HS, or similar automated test equipment.
