About the role
This role provides applications engineering support to bring power and battery management devices to market and help customers integrate them into end products.
What you'll do
- Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel. - Develop reference designs, demonstration platforms, application notes, white papers, demo-board, and reference-design manuals. - Implement customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis. - Debug analog and digital silicon issues. - Collaborate with tier-1 customers, marketing, and internal engineering teams to understand requirements, use cases, and contribute to product definition. - Travel approximately 2 weeks per year domestically and abroad.
What you'll need
- BSEE with 7+ years of semiconductor industry experience, or MSEE with 5+ years of experience. - Experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck and/or boost converters, battery chargers, and mixed-signal circuits for portable or power electronic products. - System understanding of interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, and SPMI. - Experience in component selection, schematic entry, and PCB layout design. - Experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar. - Extensive hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded C/C++ programming.
