About the role
This role involves leading a global team of Application Engineers to support customer onboarding, solution enablement, technical issue resolution, deployment, and production ramp. The team focuses on driving successful customer adoption of MIPS technologies and achieving customer objectives.
What you'll do
- Lead a global team of Application Engineers supporting customer onboarding, solution enablement, and technical issue resolution.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and strategic customer engagements.
- Drive successful customer adoption of MIPS technologies.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer, communicating requirements and technical challenges to Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Define, track, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Application Engineering organization.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing global Application Engineering team.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, embedded systems, AI, or software engineering disciplines.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical or customer-facing engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading strategic customer engagements and driving successful technical outcomes.
- Strong technical background in semiconductor IP, SoCs, embedded processing, AI acceleration, or software platforms.
- Demonstrated experience establishing KPIs, developing operational dashboards, and presenting executive-level business reviews.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting AI, edge computing, robotics, automotive, industrial, or intelligent embedded systems applications.
- Familiarity with RISC-V architectures, AI accelerators, CPUs, NPUs, or DSPs.
- Experience with software development environments, compilers, SDKs, AI frameworks, or deployment toolchains.
- Experience supporting strategic customer accounts and globally distributed engineering teams.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
