About the role
This role involves analogue IC design for new radio developments within Qualcomm's IOT product line, focusing on data converters (ADCs and DACs).
What you'll do
- Design analog/RF ICs from architecture definition to final delivery.
- Develop data converters (ADCs and DACs) and general analogue circuits for new products.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to define floor plans and optimize layout for circuit performance.
- Work with the Radio system team to define system requirements.
- Perform cell characterization post-fabrication to ensure design meets system requirements.
- Guide designs through to production.
What you'll need
- 5 or more years of industrial experience in analogue/RF IC design with ADC and DAC design experience.
- Solid understanding of analogue/RF circuit design fundamentals.
- Competence in analogue design and verification using Cadence tools.
- Familiarity with system requirements for WLAN, BT, or LTE wireless standards.
- Solid background in data converter architectures, circuit design, and verification.
- Proven track record of delivering circuit designs with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- Experience in PLL, VCO, PA, LNA, Mixer, Filter, or crystal oscillator design.
- Experience taking a design from specification through to production.
- Working knowledge of Verilog-AMS modelling, MATLAB, and Python.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment e.g. spectrum analysers, digital oscilloscopes, signal generators.
