Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for CMOS Image Sensors.

About the role

This role involves the design and development of analog and mixed-signal circuits for CMOS Image Sensors. You will work on transistor-level design and whole chip floorplan design using Cadence Virtuoso.

What you'll do

  • Conduct transistor-level design of analog and mixed-signal circuits for CMOS Image Sensors such as asic_pixel array, column-amplifier, comparator, ramp generator, ASRAM, and XDEC.
  • Work on whole chip floorplan design and pad frame, including analog and mixed signal circuits layout design by Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers on whole chip layout integration and improvement.
  • Perform sub-blocks and whole image sensor readout circuit simulation using Analog FastSPICE (AFS), Empyrean ALPS, and NanoSpice.
  • Perform design verification such as DRC, LVS, PERC check using Siemens Calibre, and whole chip IR drop check using Ansys Totem.
  • Analyze project-specific specifications and improve circuit designs or implement solutions to meet performance requirements.

What you'll need

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Coursework in Analog Integrated Circuit and Power Electronics Design.
  • Ability to analyze analog and mixed-signal circuits; troubleshoot and resolve circuit issues.
  • Experience designing analog/mixed-signal circuits based on specifications and optimizing for higher performance.
  • Proficiency in circuit simulations using tools such as Cadence Spectre or HSPICE.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and its influence on circuit behavior.
  • Experience designing and analyzing power management circuits, including LDOs and charge pumps.

Skills: analog/mixed-signal circuits, Cadence Spectre, HSPICE, semiconductor device physics, power management circuits
