Design and develop advanced CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) technologies.

About the role

This role involves the end-to-end design and development of advanced CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) technologies. You will focus on transistor-level design, simulation, and verification of analog circuits.

What you'll do

  • Conduct end-to-end design and development of analog circuits using Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Design analog building blocks such as Analog Static RAM (ASRAM) supporting complex readout formats like Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) and Correlated Double Sampling (CDS).
  • Perform comprehensive post-layout verification, including Parasitic Extraction (PEX), Design Rule Check (DRC), Layout vs. Schematic (LVS), and Physical Electrical Rule Check (PERC) using Calibre.
  • Conduct system-level analog simulation and CIS signal chain verification.
  • Execute extensive process, voltage and temperature (PVT) and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Perl to streamline simulation flow, including netlist generation and batch result parsing.

What you'll need

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced-level coursework in Analog Integrated Circuit, CMOS Circuit Design, RF Circuits and Systems Design, VLSI system design, and VLSI Signal Processing.
  • Experience with transistor-level design, simulation, and verification of analog circuits using Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Skills in Analog circuits using MOS models.
  • Experience with Operational amplifier and current mirror design.
  • Knowledge of Noise analysis and feedback system.
  • Experience with Evaluation of offset distortion and nonlinearity.
  • Functional verification using ModelSim.
  • Skills in Static timing analysis, power and area estimation.
  • Experience with Standard-cell based logic and physical synthesis.
  • Knowledge of Hardware scheduling and retiming.
  • Skills in Number representation and digital arithmetic.
  • Experience with Full analog IC design flow.
  • Experience with Post-tapeout chip testing and validation.
  • Skills in VLSI circuit and system design using Verilog.
  • Knowledge of Architecture design space exploration.
  • Experience with Spectrum Analyzer.
