About the role
This role is for an AMHS Equipment Engineering Technician responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment and processes at the Malta Fab 8, a 300mm manufacturing facility.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
- Recover equipment from process interruptions and complete event documentation.
- Effectively communicate equipment status updates and end-of-shift pass-downs.
- Support and engage in training activities.
What you'll need
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 2-year technical degree, 2 years of relevant military experience, or 4 years of relevant experience (e.g., automotive repair, HVAC, electrical work).
- Basic computer navigation skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing required clothing.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift equipment/tools.
- Flexibility to work any shift (3-4 days alternating weeks during day or night shift).
Nice to have
- Experience with Statistical Process Control charts and defect troubleshooting.
- Ability to develop and enhance operating procedures.
- Experience with troubleshooting and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- 4+ Years of direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing.
