About the role
Applied Materials’ AGS System Engineering team is seeking an electrical engineering intern to join the PCBA design team in Santa Clara for Summer 2027. The role centers on PCBA design, board debugging, simulation, and reverse engineering boards.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the team on PCBA design for board design and reverse engineering.
- Work on the CPCI protocol for FPGA programming and circuit design.
- Design PCBAs in OrCAD using current design standards.
- Perform board debugging, simulation of new designs, and reverse engineering.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller or FPGA programming.
- Familiarity with analog design and OrCAD or Altium.
- Experience with PSpice or other circuit simulation software.
- Experience with board design and debugging.
- Good academic standing at your university (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale).
