About the role
This internship involves working on the embedded software test team to ensure products delivered to customers have been thoroughly tested. You will contribute to the design, creation, and enhancement of the test framework.
What you'll do
- Create and execute on test plans during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the product.
- Contribute to the design, creation, and enhancement of the test framework, including developing modules to enable more effective validation techniques.
- Find, triage, and debug issues with team members in the software organization.
- Identify, report, and handle defects in a defect tracking system.
- Analyze test result data to identify patterns, extract insights, and support meaningful conclusions that improve product quality.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python/shell, C, C++.
Nice to have
- Understanding of MCU and DSP cores/processors.
- Understanding of software testing and test automation principles.
- Familiarity with defect management practices.
- Familiarity with SDLC.
- Familiarity with Jira, svn/git, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).
