About the role
This co-op position involves materials engineering in patterning and implant applications with a focus on TCAD modeling.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with implant material processing groups on process demonstrations.
- Process and measure wafers, model and simulate processes, and analyze results.
- Participate in development projects involving wafer processing and metrology.
- Present updates in group meetings.
- Support process engineering through procurement, shipping samples, and tracking inventory.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field in Semiconductors.
- Hands-on expertise in thin film materials characterization techniques such as ellipsometry, electrical IV/CV measurements, FTIR, microscopy, and mechanical properties testing.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as FEM and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Knowledge of modeling automation techniques.
- TCAD highly preferred.
