Automotive Semiconductor Hiring: 707 Active Job Postings
Our job index currently tracks 707 active postings tied to automotive semiconductors. These include roles classified as automotive IC or automotive safety work, along with postings whose titles mention automotive, ADAS, ISO 26262 or AUTOSAR. The counts are from employer career sites as of November 6, 2026.
These figures come from our full job index. The public job board contains a selection of these positions rather than every posting included in the analysis.
Who is hiring
Five employers account for 440 of the 707 postings, about 62%:
- Infineon Technologies: 110 postings
- NXP Semiconductors: 100 postings
- NVIDIA: 78 postings
- Qualcomm: 77 postings
- Renesas Electronics: 75 postings
The next group includes Texas Instruments (48), Mobileye (32), onsemi (19), Microchip Technology (17) and Analog Devices (16).
Traditional automotive semiconductor suppliers still account for the largest share. Infineon, NXP, Renesas, Texas Instruments, onsemi, Microchip and Analog Devices have 385 postings between them.
NVIDIA, Qualcomm and Mobileye account for another 187, or 26% of the total. Their openings lean more heavily toward central vehicle computers, ADAS, autonomous driving and in-car software.
Where the jobs are
- United States: 196 postings
- Europe (Germany, Austria, France, United Kingdom): 105 postings
- India: 83 postings
- Japan, Taiwan and South Korea: 71 postings
The remaining 252 postings are in other countries or list multiple locations.
The United States is the largest single market with 196 postings, but more than 70% of the positions are based elsewhere or list multiple locations. Automotive semiconductor hiring remains widely distributed across Europe and Asia.
What the roles ask for
The requirements span silicon, embedded software, functional safety and complete vehicle systems. We counted how many of these postings mention each of the following in the job description. A posting can mention more than one.
- ISO 26262 functional safety: 169 postings (about 24%)
- Radar, cameras or lidar: 86 postings
- AUTOSAR: 66 postings
- QNX: 66 postings
- SiC, IGBT or battery management: 42 postings
- Automotive Ethernet: 27 postings
Of the requirements we counted, ISO 26262 is the most common, appearing in about one in four postings. AUTOSAR and QNX each appear in fewer than one in ten.

How we counted
Counts include active postings only. A job is counted once even if the employer lists several cities. Postings are checked against the employer career site on each scrape and removed when they come down. Skill counts are based on text in each job description.
